The First New Day

Ianuali 'Ekahi,

A beautiful morning on the first day of the new year.  Partially cloudy and light trade breezes.  We spent the day at home cleaning up after the New Years celebration.  Took down the Christmas Tree, packed away the decorations to the workshop and rearranged the furniture back to their normal places.

There's still snow on Mauna Kea and that always amazes me.  It will probably melt by the end of the week, unless we get more rain.  We have a high surf forecast, 15 mpg winds and sunny weather is scheduled for the week.  That will give me time to do some yard work!

I saw this sign at the local transfer station yesterday.  It was inspiring!  There are always possibilities.  You just need to think, plan and execute.  If the plan doesn't work, rethink, plan and try again.  Good advise for the new year and a good new years resolution as well.

A hui hou!
